A prominent Russian hacking group, EvilWeb, has allegedly breached the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), a critical Ukrainian intelligence agency. The hackers announced their success on their Telegram channel, stating that they had infiltrated all SBU divisions after months of meticulous work. According to Russian media outlets like URA, the hackers have gained access to a vast trove of sensitive data, including databases, encryption keys, IP addresses, emails, and server networks. This information could potentially compromise the SBU's operations and expose its agents to significant risks. Among the leaked data are the names, contact details, and social media profiles of SBU employees. This information is now publicly available, raising concerns about the safety and security of these individuals. Moreover, EvilWeb is reportedly selling more confidential information about SBU agents for a substantial sum of $400,000. In a related incident, another hacking group, Nemesis, has released the identities of 800 Ukrainian soldiers involved in attacks in the Kursk region. This list includes members of the 82nd Airborne Assault Brigade and the 61st Mechanized Brigade, as well as around 200 foreign mercenaries from countries such as Israel, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, and Syria. These cyberattacks represent a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The exposure of sensitive information could have far-reaching consequences, including jeopardizing the safety of Ukrainian operatives and disrupting their military strategies.
